Reading Newmarket

Reading International, the parent company of Reading Cinemas, purchased the Newmarket site in the late 1990s and opened a vibrant Community Centre in 2005 that came to be known as Newmarket Village. The site initially lacked the Cinema and Food offer they wanted to complete the offer. Many site options were considered.

The footprint on the busy corner of Enoggera Road and Edmonstone Street in suburban inner Brisbane came with many challenges, wrapped as it was around neighbouring properties. The streetscapes required activation, but the planned Food offers faced inward.

The cinema includes the largest Titan Luxe Auditorium in Australasia, featuring a 23m wide, 286m2 screen, Dolby Atmos immersive sound, full elctric reclining armchairs and dual Lounge and Mainstream access - all of which had to fit seamlessly into the built result.

The Cinema features 8 all Premium and Gold Lounge Auditoriums, with luxurious Gold Lounge and Balcony areas.
